waiting for sunshine to come

today bella loves...

1. staying home from school. however i do not love the reason for my abscence from the wonderful world of education- i woke up this morning feeling more ill than should be legal. i spent the whole day napping, chugging ginger ale, and reading my battered copy of harriet the spy. i really do adore that book. every time i read it, i feel the urge to gather up all my old notebooks and jot down my observations on the world.

2. breads from rockland bakery. i always feel like a little girl in a candy shop whenever i go in there, and it's well worth the drive. today i spent a small fortune on bagels, loaves, and rolls in every flavor under the sun. oh sweet carbohydrates how i love you so. now if only i could actually eat them...

what a wonderful world...

today bella loves...
1. playing dress up. i was quite bored this morning so i decided to do an impromtu photo shoot in the great outdoors. of course that meant i had to get dolled up in some of my favorite clothes. i fluttered around my wardrobe for a while, snuck a few things from my mother's closet, and was delighted with my fairytale results.

2. finding old treasures. after looking through my closet for my dress up session i was intrigued by the adorable little items i had accumalated and misplaced over the years. i found: a blue chinese ring box, a silver 'tres chic' compact, two gold sailor buttons, a clear jeweled case, a big gold bow, some darling hairclips, and a yellow hair bow.

3. surprise parties. today was my dear friend alyssa's birthday. a few friends and i set up a surprise birthday party at her favorite restaurant. we toasted, gossiped, and ate precious mini cupcakes from magnolia. a wonderful evening.

all that glitters is gold

today bella loves...

...snow in march. today, with the beginning of spring in sight, it snowed. which i was jumping for joy about. alas it melted after a few hours, leaving me sad and still cold. but i am really longing for springtime at the moment- colors and sundresses and flowers oh my! at least i got to wear my beloved j.crew wellies again.

bella loves...

blogging. i have to admit, i was never one for blogging. while others were pouring their hearts out to a computer about their various problems, i was the kid skipping through the daisies, fairytale book in hand. i never really grew out of my fairytales. that's why i'm here- to share my whimsical and slightly odd endeavors with whomever may stumble across this. enter at your own risk...and down the rabbit hole we go.
